Added Functionality
Support for Water Cooled cells (AFE, 4Q, and 2Q)
  • Water cooled GH180 cells require additional software functionality and communicate with a different protocol (AP) over the fiber connections.
  • AFE cells are full AFE controlled cells for special applications
  • 4Q cells are cells which support regeneration.
  • 2Q cells are cells which support only motoring operation
Support for Air Cooled Drive IQ cells
  • IQ cells are very advanced cells which support for present and future SINAMICS Perfect Harmony GH180 IQ drive intelligent capabilities.  These cells support a high bandwidth protocol (EP) to facilitate such capabilities.
Support for 4Q Air Cooled cells
  • 4Q air cooled cells extends regenerative capability to the GH180 air cooled drive
  • Additional parameters and other algorithms to support 4Q air cooled cells

User IO Analog Inputs are now available for use in “From Drive” network registers.

Corrections
  • Corrected issue where PROFIBUS communications would not function properly if the data telegram size was set to any length less than maximum
  • Corrected rare issue where erroneous bypass available faults would occur.
  • Corrected issue where Bad Cell Data cell faults could occur after a cell over temperature fault.
Hardware
  • This SW / FW may be operated only with the NXGPro+ controller
This software contains:
  • Programming data for NXGPro+ release 8.2.1
  • Programming for NXGPro+ firmware 1.0.0.1
Notes:
  1. Consult Siemens Large Drives Customer Service before upgrading software.
  2. Software upgrade file available from Siemens Large Drives Customer Service.
  3. ToolSuite Software should also be upgraded to version 8.2.1.
  4. ToolSuite Software 8.2.1 is available from Siemens Large Drives Customer Service.
